LEXINGTON,
Ky. (Jan. 27, 2004) -- Kentucky
writers will have the opportunity to meet with
agents, publishers, editors and other representatives
from national literary businesses at a special
event sponsored by the Kentucky Women Writers
Conference. The Art Meets Business Day will be
held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21,
at the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning
in Lexington.
“Attendees
will have the chance for one-on-one manuscript
consultations with agents and attend panel discussions
and workshops throughout the day,” said Rebecca
Howell, director of the Kentucky Women Writers
Conference at the University of Kentucky. “Our
conference board is pleased to offer Kentucky writers
this special opportunity to have their work seen
and to make good contacts with literary industry
professionals.”
