LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 28, 2004) -- Charles H. Griffith III, M.D., M.S.P.H., associate professor of medicine and associate professor of pediatrics, University of Kentucky College of Medicine, has been appointed by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy G. Thompson to the advisory committee on training in primary care medicine and dentistry.

Griffith was among seven new members appointed to serve until September 2006. The 23-member committee advises the HHS secretary and Congress on a wide range of policy and program issues in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, dentistry and physician assistant programs.
