LEXINGTON,
Ky. (May 7, 2004) -- The
University of Kentucky Gatton
College of Business and Economics, in conjunction
with the UK
Athletics Department and Host
Communications Inc., will host the seventh
annual UK Sports Marketing Academy May 10-13
in the Gatton College.
The
academy, which provides attendees with a competitive
advantage by covering topics such as effective
sports marketing principals, is the first professional
certification program of its kind in the field
of sports marketing.

unique partnership between these three organizations
results in a first-rate certification program,
with instruction provided by leading sports marketing
academicians and practitioners,” said Scott
Kelley, professor of marketing in the Gatton College
and director of the academy.
