LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 10, 2004) --The steering committee for the University of Kentucky Self-study for NCAA Division I Certification will hold a work session from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, in the first floor board room of the Main Building. At 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, in the Weldon Suite of the E.S. Good Barn (near intersection of Farm Road and University Drive), the committee will hold a forum at which members of the campus community and the public can offer their comments and suggestions. The steering committee and subcommittees are continuing their work as part of a yearlong process to evaluate UK’s athletics program. The self-study is a requirement of NCAA membership and is designed to ensure that an institution meets or exceeds the standards of established criteria set by the NCAA for certification.
