LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 10, 2004) -- University of Kentucky Provost Michael T. Nietzel announced today the appointment of Don Witt as assistant provost for enrollment management.
“The University of Kentucky has been steadily moving toward improving the way it manages enrollment, and Don has played a key role in that process over the past few years,” said Nietzel.
Under the direction of Philipp Kraemer, associate provost for undergraduate education, Witt will assume additional leadership responsibilities to provide better and more comprehensive services to UK students during the entire enrollment process.
Witt brings 20 years of institutional experience to his new position. He first joined UK in 1984 as a recruiter in the Office of Admission, before being named the university’s registrar. He has served as director of admission and registrar since the two units merged in 2001.
