WHAT: Posters-at-the-Capitol 2005

WHEN/WHERE: Posters-at-the-Capitol will take place Feb. 3, 2005, in the state capitol building in Frankfort during the legislative session. Legislative visits will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the welcome at 10:45 a.m. Students will give oral presentations from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. General poster viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 3.

MORE: Posters-at-the-Capitol is an event hosted collaboratively by the University of Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky University, Kentucky State University, Morehead State University, Murray State University, Northern Kentucky University, University of Louisville, and Western Kentucky University. The event is intended to help members of Kentucky’s legislature and the Governor better understand the importance of involving undergraduates in research, scholarly, and creative work. Undergraduates whose abstracts were selected for participation will display their work in the state capitol and are encouraged, along with their faculty mentors, to arrange visits with legislators from their hometown and university districts.
