LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 7, 2005) -- The Cultural Diversity Festival, an annual event that celebrates diversity at the University of Kentucky by bringing together people from all walks of life will feature a series of activities on campus from Feb. 10 to Feb. 28.
Activities will range from the festival’s kickoff celebration to the World Pastry Café, where you can sample culture-rich desserts from around the world, to serious discussions about diversity. The open discussions cover topics such as “Why We Celebrate Black History Month” and “The Muslims Among Us: Danger or Asset.”
“This festival not only acknowledges and celebrates the diversity which is prevalent at UK, it also recognizes the importance of education on diversity,” said Patricia Terrell, vice president for student affairs, whose office sponsors the event.
