LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 15, 2005) --The University of Kentucky Department of Gastroenterology is seeking volunteers in the Lexington area to participate in a one-year clinical research study to evaluate Hepatitis C treatments. The study is under the supervision of Dr. Alvaro G. Koch, assistant professor, UK College of Medicine. Participants must have been previously diagnosed with Hepatitis C. All eligible participants who join the study will be treated with an active medication for Hepatitis C by injection and a daily tablet, and receive physician visits and testing at no charge.
