LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 10, 2005) -- Holly Divine , assistant professor at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy, has been named the Bluegrass Pharmacists Association’s (BPhA) 2004 Pharmacist of the Year.
The award is given annually to a pharmacist-member of the association who has exemplified the professional aspects of pharmacy through commitment to patient care.
Divine earned her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the UK College of Pharmacy. In addition, she has certification in geriatric pharmacy and is a certified diabetes educator.
She currently serves as a clinical pharmacist in the UK Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science and is coordinator of the Community Pharmacy Residency Program. Her teaching responsibilities include coordinating the geriatrics and community pharmacy management elective courses. She also assists in precepting fourth-year pharmacy students during clinical rotations in community pharmacy through the residency practice sites.
She also is the recent recipient of the 2004 Innovative Pharmacy Practice Award from the Kentucky Pharmacists Association.
