LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 11, 2005) -- The University of Kentucky Board of Trustees today accepted one of the largest gifts ever made to the College of Agriculture,
an estimated $6.2 million in support of equine research at the Maxwell H. Gluck Equine Research Center.
The gift represents the residual estate of the late Janet H. Koller, formerly of Valley View Farm, Danville, Ky. Koller had a life-long affiliation with both Thoroughbred and American Saddlebred horses.
“The College of Agriculture and the Gluck Equine Research Center are grateful for this tremendous gift,” said Scott Smith, dean of the college. “This definitely will be a great help to us in enhancing the Gluck Center’s already-strong research program.”
