Peggy Taphorn to Lead Master Class

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 24, 2005) -- Peggy Taphorn, acclaimed director and choreographer, will lead a tap and jazz master class at the University of Kentucky at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, in Barker Hall. Taphorn will teach from sections of the popular Broadway musicals “Smokey Joe’s Café” and “ 42 nd Street.”

Taphorn’s master class at UK is sponsored by the Kentucky Partners in Dance Alliance, Inc., and the UK Dance Program under the director of Rayma Beal, associate professor of kinesiology and health promotion in the College of Education.
