LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 31, 2005) -- The President's Commission on Diversity is seeking nominations for the 2005 President's Award for Diversity. The University of Kentucky established the President's Award for Diversity in honor and appreciation of those who have demonstrated outstanding efforts toward advancing the university's mission of embracing diversity while maintaining academic excellence.

The President's Award for Diversity will be awarded in six categories: UK student, UK staff member, UK faculty member, UK administrator, UK unit or department, and other individual or agency from Kentucky. Nominations must include the completed nomination form, written nomination limited to two pages, no more than three letters of recommendation, nominee’s current resume or curriculum vitae, and one example of nominee’s work demonstrative of award criteria such as publications, program materials, curriculum outlines, or research projects. Award criteria and nomination forms can be found online.
