Public Invited to “Meet the Geeks”

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 8, 2005) --The University of Kentucky, in partnership with the Bluegrass Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience and Commerce Lexington, is sponsoring a town hall forum for Brain Awareness Week. The public is invited to “meet the geeks” in an open dialogue with neurology researchers and clinicians. Panelists will include experts on Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), schizophrenia, ALS, neurological AIDS, spinal cord injury and other topics. The forum will be Wednesday, March 16, at the Kentucky Theatre, 214 E. Main St. An open reception at 5 p.m. will precede the discussion kick-off. The event is free and open to the public.
