LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 9, 2005) -- The Interdisciplinary Human Development Institute (IHDI) at the University of Kentucky will co-sponsor an Inclusive Theater Workshop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 12. The workshop will be held at the Lexington Public Library, Central Branch.
The Inclusive Theater Workshop will feature the Theater of Inclusion group, which is based in Indianapolis, Ind. The performance-based workshop will use a combination of movement, text, drawing, sculpture, personal narrative and performance to address the real and perceived differences that can exist between individuals with disabilities and those who are not currently disabled.
The workshop is co-sponsored with Latitude of Lexington, a community arts day program designed to create meaningful, inclusive community interactions through the arts.
The registration fee is $35 per person, with a limited number of scholarships available.
