Dinner for Memorial Scholarship Fund

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 18, 2005) -- A spaghetti dinner and silent auction will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at the Crestwood Christian Church, 1886 Bellefonte Drive, Lexington, to benefit the University of Kentucky Jonathan Walker Mayberry Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 children, and free for children age 1 and under, and the meal includes spaghetti, salad, bread, drink and dessert. Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling Suzanne Waldrop at (859) 257-3476. There will be a limited number of dinner tickets available at the door.

After the dinner, the Soul Steppin’ Ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Beta Gamma Omega Chapter will present their 2005 regional step show.

The UK Jonathan Walker Mayberry Memorial Scholarship Fund, which is open to any UK student, was established after the tragic death of 17-month-old Jonathan Walker Mayberry, son of UK graduates Stephanie and Jay Mayberry. For more information, call (859) 257-3476.
