LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 4, 2005) -- University of Kentucky College of Public Health doctoral student Regina R. Washington was awarded the 2005 National Rural Health Association/ John Snow Inc. Student Achievement Award. The award honors outstanding graduate students at the NRHA’s annual conference.
Washington is currently a Fellow at the National Cancer Institute under a Cancer Research Training Award appointment at the NCI Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities. She is the founder and current president of the University of Kentucky Student NRHA Chapter.
