Sept. 1997, LEXINGTON -- The University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center Office of Minority Affairs is coordinating a health fair as part of Lexington’s annual Roots & Heritage Festival on Sept. 13 from noon to 5 p.m. in downtown Lexington at the Rose Street Extension. Medical Center health professions students will offer festival visitors a variety of health screenings and information. In addition, the UK Science Outreach mobile van will be on site with special science activities for children. Other festival features include fantastic food, entertainment and cultural experiences.
