The UK Hospital Auxiliary was recognized Nov. 19 as the Outstanding Philanthropic Organization during a celebration of National Philanthropy Day, sponsored by the Lexington Chapter of the National Society of Fund-Raising Executives. The award was presented to the auxiliary in recognition of the $2,070,000 donated to the UK Hospital and UK Children’s Hospital for medical equipment and enhancements. The auxiliary has provided service to UK for 34 years.
