LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 28, 1999) -- Hundreds of Central Kentucky children will have a happier holiday again this year thanks to University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center employees. The annual Circle of Love provides gifts from clothing to toys and bicycles to underprivileged children in Fayette, Bourbon, Scott, Woodford, Madison, Jessamine, Nicholas and Clark counties.

Teachers and counselors from the schools select students to receive gifts and send the list to members of the Circle of Love committee. UK employees and departments participate in the program by buying gifts from a wish list made by the children.

Wish lists will be available for Circle of Love sponsors to pick up Monday, Nov. 22 through Friday, Dec. 3, in the UK Hospital lobby and across from the Big Blue Deli in Kentucky Clinic. Gifts need to be wrapped and returned along with the wish list card Dec. 6 and 7 in the Hospital lobby. All Circle of Love sponsors receive a free holiday ornament. For more information, call 323-6023 or to volunteer to assist with the project, call 323-6021.
