LEXINGTON, KY (June 17, 1999) -- A memorial
service for the four crew members killed in the crash of a University of Kentucky Hospital
Air Medical Service helicopter on June 14 will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 18, at
Immanuel Baptist Church, 3100 Tates Creek Road, Lexington. The crew included pilots
Ernest L. Jones Jr., 49, of Oakwood Village, Ohio, and Don Greene, 46, of Somerset; flight
nurse Sheila Zellers, 43, of Elizabethtown; and paramedic Brian Harden, 31, of Richmond.
The service will include remarks by family and friends, a presentation of wings, last
call for the crew and a fly over by other air medical services. The Lexington Division of
Fire and EMS, the Georgetown Scott County EMS and the Louisville Professional Firefighters
Pipe Band also will participate in the service.
Parking and seating will be limited. Media should arrive at the church by 10
a.m. Media arriving after 10:30 a.m. will not be allowed in the church. A section has been
reserved in the balcony for the media. Media will not be allowed on the main floor of the
sanctuary. Media are asked to remain inside the church until the service has concluded. |
