Frank C. Miller, M.D., professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, is the new president of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).

LEXINGTON, KY (May 14, 1999) -- Frank C. Miller, M.D., professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, is the new president of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). ACOG is the national medical organization representing nearly 39,000 obstetricians and gynecologists.

Miller is the former chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the UK College of Medicine.

Miller chaired ACOG’s Committee on Scientific Program in 1990 and was general chair of the 1991 Annual Clinical Meeting. He also has served on the Health Care Commission, the Long-Range Planning Committee and the Course Coordination Committee.

He has served as president of the Society of Perinatal Obstetricians and the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics and is involved in other professional organizations, including the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Gynecological and Obstetrical Society, the Society for Gynecologic Investigation and the Society of Obstetricians, Anesthesiologists, and Pediatricians.
