LEXINGTON, KY. (Oct. 21, 1999) -- In recognition
of physical therapy month, University of Kentucky physical therapy students in the College
of Allied Health Professions have teamed together to host Lexington's only 8K race and 2
mile fun run/walk. The race will be at UK's Commonwealth Stadium, Saturday, Oct. 23,
1999 at 9 a.m. Registration, which is $15, begins at 7:30 a.m. Students will host
stretching exercises before and after the race to promote physical fitness and healthy
exercise. Health related booths will also be set up during race day.
Race proceeds will benefit families, who need assistance in purchasing necessary
medical equipment, sponsor children attending sensory integration campus, and physical
therapy research. |
