LEXINGTON, KY
(March 30, 2001) -- University
of Kentucky College of Nursing Dean Carolyn A. Williams, Ph.D.,
recently was awarded as 2000 Alumna of the Year by the University
of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing.
Williams, a 1965 graduate of the school of nursing,
holds three degrees from the University of North Carolina –
master’s in nursing and public health and a doctorate in
epidemiology.
She currently is serving as president of the American
Association of Colleges of Nursing and has held other national
leadership roles including president of the American Academy of
Nursing and chairperson of the ANA Commission on Nursing Research. |
