Staff Senate improves its election process

The 2005 Staff Senate election brought to light problems within its election process.

A review of the situation by Staff Senate President Kyle Dippery and other staff senators revealed improper arrangement of department codes with senate voting precincts, preventing some employees from voting in 2005.

Changes have been introduced and approved to improve the 2006 Staff Senate election. “We are confident the 2006 election will be simpler to monitor and easier to participate in, regardless of whether you are a candidate or a voter,” said Dippery.
