Undergraduate enrollment study confirms quality of university faculty, staff
While the number of freshmen at the University of Kentucky has grown to record levels, student performance has continued to improve because of the high quality of students and faculty instruction, according to a new study of undergraduate enrollment.
However, the study also demonstrates that it will be difficult to maintain that high quality if enrollment levels continue to grow without a corresponding increase in resources for faculty and instruction. (more)
Landfield and Alzheimer's team receive $7.5 million NIH grant
The success and potential of a University of Kentucky research team has been recognized by the awarding of a $7.5 million grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to aid in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. The grant is one of the largest ever awarded to UK faculty solely for research. (more)
Task Force charged with creating Diversity Plan for university
In line with the University of Kentucky’s strategic goal of nurturing diversity of thought, culture, gender and ethnicity, a Diversity Task Force has been created and charged with the development of a comprehensive, university-wide Diversity Plan. (more)
