UK colleges of Medicine and Dentistry receive $20 million COBRE grant
Having won two Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) grants totaling over $20 million, the university is poised to produce the next generation of research into cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, and oral infections. The research itself will be led by a new generation of UK scientists working with their first major grants. (more)
New UK policy permits withdrawals from retirement accounts

UK Board elects new leaders; sets funds for Robinson Scholars
The University of Kentucky Board of Trustees elected new officers and approved a formula for dividing income from potential timber harvests in the E.O. Robinson Forest to provide new money for the E.O. Robinson Scholars program that provides free higher education for students from 29 Eastern Kentucky counties at its September meeting. (more)
