MATHEW MARSHALL, Physical Plant Division,was named 2004 Building Operator of the Year for his outstanding attitude, attendance, performance, dependability and years of service to the university.

UK athletics administrator MICKI KING has been elected to serve a four-year term as vice president of the U.S. Olympians Association, as announced by the United States Olympic Committee. The U.S. Olympians Association, which includes all former Olympians who represented the United States, is an organization committed to fostering the Olympic spirit across the nation, motivating and encouraging youth, developing camaraderie, and honoring those who have shared the experience of representing the United States at the Olympic Games.

TOM ROBINSON, professor, Division of Health Science Education and Research and former dean, UK College of Health Sciences, will be involved for several months at the Centre for Clinical Management Development at Hatfield College at the University of Durham Queen's Campus Stockton, Durham, England, on a visiting fellowship sabbatical. As a fellow, Robinson will give a public lecture on his research.

LORIA ALLAIRE , lecturer, Department of Modern and Classical Languages, Literature and Culture, did two presentations on her research at Indiana University-Bloomington in February. The first "Rediscovering an Italian Cultural Artifact: The Tristano Corsiniano and What It Tells Us" was for a graduate seminar on medieval manuscript research; the second talk, titled "The Importance of Primary Source Research: Methodologies and Procedures for Editing a Text," was for a general university audience. She also recently read her paper "The Tristano Corsiniano Manuscript: a Case Study in Translation(s)" at the Kentucky Philological Association Conference.
