May 6, 2008Summer Parking & Transportation ChangesDuring the summer months, demand for student parking is greatly reduced. As a result, Parking and Transportation Services does not control many of the student areas for permits during this period.In general, all Residential (R) lots, the Commonwealth Stadium Red (K) lot and all single use Commuter (C) lots are off control from May 3 through August 24, unless otherwise signed. All joint use Employee/Commuter (E/C), Employee/Student (E/K), and the Commonwealth Stadium Blue (K) lots will remain on control for permits during the summer months. PTS began operating a summer bus route on May 5. The bus service will run for both the 4-week Intersession and the 8-week Summer Session. Scott Street ConstructionDue to utility installation, the Scott Street entrance to the Taylor Dickey lot will be blocked next week. Drivers are advised to use the Upper Street entrance to the lot.The project is expected to take approximately one week. |
