Parking Impact Near Chemistry-Physics Building
Beginning Monday, June 23, construction will impact parking in the vicinity of the Chemistry-Physics Building. The project is related to the replacement of the air-handling units for the building, and will consist of two phases.
Phase One of the project will take place from Monday, June 23, through Wednesday, June 25. During this time, 11 disabled spaces, 3 service area spaces and motorcycle parking will be impacted. Temporary disabled parking will be provided on the right side of Funkhouser Drive. Additionally, because parking spaces are usually available in the Sorority Row (R5) parking area during summer break, motorcycles are permitted to park in regular parking spaces during this phase.
Phase Two of the project will take place from Thursday, June 26, through Saturday, June 28. During this phase, 32 employee (E) spaces and 3 service area spaces will be blocked. Displaced E permit holders should be able to locate parking in the R5 parking area.
During the overlap of Phases One and Two, vehicles must be removed from the affected area by 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25.
During both phases of the project, an access lane for emergency and service vehicles will remain open.
As always, construction is weather-dependent and the time-table may be subject to change.
