Steam Pipe Repairs Along Farm Road Begin Monday;
Parking and Traffic Impacted on South Campus

Beginning Monday, January 19, the steam line project at Farm Road will impact parking and traffic flow on the south side of campus.

The front loop of the Gluck Equine Research Center and the small employee (E) lot adjacent to the loop will be shut down for the duration of the project. The small lot consists of 19 employee spaces, 4 metered spaces and 2 motorcycle spaces. The building’s front entrance will still be accessible for pedestrians through the large employee (E) lot located behind the building.
A total of 15 spaces in the employee (E) lot adjacent to the Kentucky Tobacco Research and Development Center (KTRDC) will be blocked for construction staging purposes. The first four parking spaces closest to Farm Road (two on each side) will be blocked off, along with the row of 11 spaces closest to the building on the west side for the entire project. The aisle at the end of the row will also be blocked. Finally, the loading zone will be utilized during the week of January 26-30, but it will still be accessible. See the linked map for more detail.

Employees who normally park in the affected areas may park in any other E lot. Those needing visitor parking are encouraged to contact the PTS Special Event Coordinator at (859) 257-9680.

The project is expected to last until Monday, March 2. However, as always, construction is weather-dependent and the timetable may change.
