Fall Semester Parking Control
Parking & Transportation Services will begin controlling the C8, R1, R3, R4, R10 and R14 student parking lots for permits beginning Monday, August 24. Permits are required in the R2, R6, R7, R8, R9 and R17 parking areas starting on Wednesday, August 26. To avoid receiving parking citations, please be aware what type of parking permit is required before you park your vehicle.
The R3 parking area was expanded to include a section within the Cooperstown parking area. R3 permit holders should park in the section marked R2, R3 and R17.
The parking calendar, found online at www.uky.edu/Parking/permits-calendar.html, lists permit control dates for all student parking lots. Campus parking maps can be found at www.uky.edu/Parking/parking-maps.html.
Campus Bus Routes Begin Fall Semester Service
In a change this year, the CATS Summer Route will continue to run through Tuesday, August 25. In previous years, the Summer Route had ceased on the Friday before fall semester began. The change will provide bus service to areas such as Greg Page Apartments and Cooperstown, which are not served by other regular CATS routes.
The late night Green Route service will start on Friday, August 21; the route runs Friday and Saturday nights, 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. On-demand bus service will begin Sunday, August 23. Call (859) 221-RIDE to make pick-up requests. The Red, White, Blue and Yellow CATS bus routes will resume on Monday, August 24, and campus LexTran service will start on Wednesday, August 26.
Visit www.uky.edu/Parking/transportation-buses-shuttles.html for route and schedule information.
Members of the campus community are encouraged to tune into 1700 AM (WQKH 253) to hear campus parking and transportation information. The station broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Welcome back to campus!
