Farm Road Detour Slated to Begin Monday, August 31
|
Due to the replacement of campus steam lines, the portion of Farm Road between University Drive and Kentucky Tobacco Research and Development Center (KTRDC) will be closed beginning Monday, August 31.
Traffic will be permitted to turn from University Drive onto Farm Road. However, vehicles doing so must make an immediate right turn (see map).
The project is expected to be completed by Friday, September 4. However, as always, construction is weather-dependent and delays are possible.

Parking Structure #2 Maintenance Update; Work on Parking Structure #1 Set to Begin 9/8
Parking spaces in Parking Structure #2 that have been blocked due to repairs are gradually becoming available; work is expected to be completed by Friday, September 4. The contractor will continue to perform some brick repair in the parking garage, but the number of spaces temporarily blocked will be minimal.
Similar repairs to Parking Structure #1 will begin Tuesday, September 8. Both ramps will be closed for approximately two weeks at the beginning of the project. During this time, all entry and exit traffic will be at ground level. The repair work will take place Monday through Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Although parking spaces will be temporarily taken out of service, the structure will remain open throughout the repair project.
The project is expected to be completed around mid-October. Visit us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/UKParking to stay informed.
Members of the campus community are encouraged to tune into 1700 AM (WQKH 253) to hear campus parking and transportation information. The station broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
