Construction to Impact Section of South Limestone; Through Traffic Permitted

Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 20, construction on the pedestrian bridge connecting the UK HealthCare parking garage with the new UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital now under construction will impact the portion of South Limestone between Cooper Drive and Virginia Avenue.

Construction will take place from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m., Monday through Friday, and will close one or two lanes of traffic at all times. The lane closures will shift across South Limestone as the project progresses. Through traffic will be permitted.

The project is expected to take approximately one month. However, as always, construction work is weather-dependent and the timetable is subject to change.

Members of the campus community are encouraged to tune into 1700 AM (WQKH 253) to hear campus parking and transportation information. The station broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
