Public Meeting to Review Concepts for S. Limestone

On Tuesday, Oct. 27, engineering consultants will present three design options for the portion of South Limestone adjacent to the University of Kentucky. The study, known as the South Limestone Multimodal Transportation Study, also includes South Upper Street between downtown and Winslow Street/Avenue of Champions. The study is being conducted by the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government and Lexington Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, in partnership with the University of Kentucky and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

This meeting will be held at the University of Kentucky Student Center in Room 230. An open house format with the three design concepts will be available for public review between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The designers will provide a formal presentation of the three design options at 5:30 p.m. Public comment and discussion will follow the presentations. The meeting is free, and open to the public.

For additional information, please contact Kenzie Gleason at (859) 258-3605.

NOTE: This meeting and design concepts DO NOT involve the current construction and streetscape project on South Limestone Street between Avenue of the Champions and Vine Street.
