Liquid: phenylpropanolamine 6.25mg, dextromethorphan 5mg, chlorpheniramine 1mg per 5ml, cherry flavor

Adult Dosing Guidelines

  • NA

Pediatric Dosing Guidelines

  • for cough, stuffy nose, and runny nose
  • 0.8ml per kg per dose
  • dose may be repeated q4-6h not to exceed 6 doses in 24hrs

 Triage Questions About Treatment or Related Issues

  • Allergies?
  • How long have symptoms persisted?
  • Current use of medications (Rx or OTC) or pre-existing medical conditions?
  • Does the child have a fever? If yes, refer to physician.
  • Is the child on MAOI’s?

 General Information

This product is indicated for the temporary relief of cold and allergy symptoms including cough due to minor bronchial irritation, runny nose, stuffy nose, sneezing, itching of the nose and throat and itchy, watery eyes.

*DO NOT use this product if the patient is currently taking MAOI’s.

  • If symptoms do not improve in 7 days or a fever develops, discontinue use and consult MD.
  • Do not use to treat chronic conditions (ie, asthma).
  • Do not use if cough is accompanied by excess phlegm production.
