Adult Dosing Guidelines

Pediatric Dosing Guidelines
- for fever or pain
- 1st dose – 20 mg per kg
- following doses – 15 mg per kg
- q4-6h prn

General Information
MOA: APAP increases the dissipation of body heat via vasodilation.
- Do not use if patient has continuous vomiting or diarrhea
- Do not use for stomach pain
- If symptoms worsen… call physician ASAP
- Do Not use for more than 3 days for fever or 5 days for pain.
Adverse Reactions/Side Effects
Upset stomach.
Children are much less susceptible to hepatotoxicity b/c of greater capacity for metabolism.
