ANTI-ITCH OINTMENT

Cortaid Maximum Strength Ointment provides prescription strength itch and rash relief without th eprescription! Cortaid Maximum Strength Ointment is the same strength and form of hydrocortisone relief formerly available only with a presccription.

Use Cortaid Maximum Strength for the temporary relief of itching associated with minor skin irritations, inflammation, and rashes due to seborrheic dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, poison ivy, poison oak, or poison sumac, insect bites, soaps, detergents, cosmetics, jewelery, and for exteranl feminine and anal itching. Other uses of this product should be only under the advice and supervision of a physcian.

Directions: Adults and children 2 years of age and older: Apply to affected area no more than 3 to 4 times daily. Children under 2 years of age: Do not use, consult a physicia. Adults: For external anal itching, when practical, cleanse the affected area with mild soap and warm water and rinse thoroughly by patting or blotting with an appropriate cleansing pad. Gently dry bt patting or blotting with toilet tissue or soft cloth before application of this product. Children under 12 years of age: For exteranl anal itching, consult a physician. Warnings: For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. If condition worsens, or symptoms persist for more than 7 days or clear up and occur again within a few days, stop use of this product and do not begin the use of any other hydrocortisone product unless you have consulted a physician. Do not use for the treatment of diaper rash. Consult a physician. For external feminine itching, do not use if you have vaginal discharge. Consult a physician. For external anal itching , do not exceed the recommended dosage unless directed by a physician. In case of bleeding, consult a physician promptly. Do not put this product into the rectum by using fingers or any mechanical device or applicator. Kepp this and all drugs out of the reach of children. In case of accidental ingestion, seek professional assistance or contact poison control center immediately. Active Ingredient: Hydrocortisone acetate (equivalent to hydrocortisone, 1.0%). Also contains butylparaben, cholesterol, methylparaben, microcrystalline wax, mineral oil, and whote petrolatum. Store at Room Temperature.
