General Information

This product is spermicidally lubricated. Spermicides work by two different mechanisms: the creation of a barrier that prevents the sperm from reaching the cervix and destruction of the sperm by denaturing the lipid portions of the midpiece and tail, rendering the sperm nonmotile. It will help prevent the spread of HIV and other STDs as well as help prevent pregnancy. If additional lubrication is required, do not use oil-based lubricants such as petroleum jelly, vegetable or mineral oils, or cold cream. These products will compromise the latex barrier of the condom. Store condoms in a cool, dry place (not in a wallet or glove box). Always check the expiration date on product. If the condom feels sticky, brittle, or appears damaged in any way, discard the condom and use a fresh one. Condoms are not 100% effective against pregnancy, HIV, or STDs. Nonvaginal use can increase the potential of slipping or being damaged. If the female is using any vaginal products for medical purposes, the condom may be weakened and effectiveness reduced. Wash hands, penis, vagina, and surrounding areas before and after intercourse to help prevent infection. Male condoms have a 13% failure rate.
