General Information
This product is spermicidally lubricated. Spermicides work by two different mechanisms: the creation of a barrier that prevents the sperm from reaching the cervix and destruction of the sperm by denaturing the lipid portions of the midpiece and tail, rendering the sperm nonmotile. If additional lubrication is required, do not use oil-based lubricants such as petroleum jelly, vegetable or mineral oils, or cold cream. Store condoms in a cool, dry place (not in a wallet or glove box). Always check the expiration date on product. If the condom feels sticky, brittle, or appears damaged in any way, discard it and use a fresh one. Condoms are not 100% effective against pregnancy. Nonvaginal use can increase the potential of slipping or being damaged. If the female is using any vaginal products for medical purposes, the condom may be weakened and effectiveness reduced. Wash hands, penis, vagina, and surrounding areas before and after intercourse to help prevent infection. This product will not prevent the spread of HIV. Male condoms have a 13% failure rate.
