Adult Dosing Guidelines

• For temporary management and relief of coughs due to minor throat and bronchial irritation as may occur with a cold. Expectorant action helps loosen phlegm (mucus) and this bronchial secretion to rid the bronchial passageways of bothersome mucus. Oral: 2 teaspoonfuls every 4 hours, not to exceed 6 doses in a 24 hour time span, or as directed by a doctor.

 General Information

Diabetic Tussin is formulated without sugar, alcohol, fructose, and sorbitol—all of which can pose certain risks to persons on sugar-restricted diets. It is also sodium free, which is useful for persons on a sodium restricted diet. Diabetic Tussin is also formulated without narcotics, decongestants, and is dye free. It is the exclusion of these inactive ingredients that distinguishes Diabetic Tussin from comparable products with the same active ingredients. Diabetic Tussin does not contain any medication to improve any existing condition other than cough and lack of expectoration.

Adverse Reactions/Side Effects
Do not use this product if you are taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. Possible side effects include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headache, and rash.

Medication should be taken with plenty of water to not only aid in the usage of the medication, but also to help the expectoration process.
