General Information

Aveeno Bath acts as a temporary skin protectant. It relieves minor irritation and itching. It also acts as a natural cleanser and cleans skin without soap. Surface solids on skin adhere to the oatmeal particles and are rinsed away.

This product can be used to treat itchy, irritated skin due to poison ivy, oak, and sumac, sunburn, chicken pox, rash, and diaper rash.

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If this occurs, flush with water.

Pat skin dry, do not rub.

Be very careful when entering and exiting the tub since oatmeal will make bottom of the tub slippery.

Not harmful if accidentally ingested.

If patient is less than 2 years old, recommend that the patient consult a physician before using the bath.

If condition worsens or does not improve in 7 days, contact physician.

Adverse Reactions/Side Effects
Although rare, the patient could have an allergic reaction if they have an allergy to oats or barley. An allergic reaction is most likely to be in the form of a rash and could be hidden by the current condition. If condition worsens after using the bath, consult your physician.
