College’s LKS Chapter Receives National Honors
LEXINGTON, KY (Sept. 13, 2002) -- The University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy’s chapter of Lambda Kappa Sigma received five national honors including the top award for Outstanding Chapter Leadership during the organization’s national convention held in Chicago. The Alpha Nu Chapter of the international pharmacy fraternity received Honorable Mention for Outstanding Chapter Loyalty; Honorable Mention for Outstanding Chapter Membership Recruitment and Retention; Honorable Mention for Outstanding Chapter Community Service; and Honorable Mention for Outstanding Chapter Scholarship. In addition, LKS president Tiffany Self was elected to serve on the national nominating committee for the 2002-2004 biennium that slates candidates for the Grand Council, the fraternity’s leadership. Lambda Kappa Sigma seeks to promote the profession of pharmacy among women and to aid its members in all areas. Chapter advisers for Alpha Nu are Betsy McCollum, Pharm.D. and Ann Amerson, Pharm.D.
