Amantadine and Rimantadine
Almost all the toxicities are seen in the setting of renal failure when the dose has not been adjusted.
- Neurotoxic reactions - tremor, seizures, coma.
- Cardiac - arrhythmias
With normal dosing - nervousness, lightheadedness, insomnia, loss of appetite - all are usually mild.
