Pharmacokinetics
- Low oral bioavailabilty - < 20% - therefore usually given by the I.V. route.
- Renal elimination - 80% of dose - must adjust does in renal failure.
- T 1/2 - 4-8 hours, secondary prolonged T 1/2 - 88 hours - sequestration in bone.
