“That students enrolled in the Lexington Community College* through June 30‚ 2006‚ shall have all of the responsibilities‚ services‚ privileges‚ and rights accorded to them as University of Kentucky students. The privileges shall include‚ but not be limited to‚ tickets to athletic events‚ homecoming queen contests‚ the Great Teacher Award‚ and the University of Kentucky scholarship programs. These students shall pay the mandatory University of Kentucky student fees through June 30‚ 2006. On July 1‚ 2006‚ and thereafter‚ Lexington Community College* Students may elect to participate in student services and activities provided by the University of Kentucky and shall pay the appropriate fees for these services and activities to include the following fees: athletics‚ student government association‚ WRFL student radio‚ student activities‚ student center‚ student health plan‚ technology fee‚ Seaton Center fee‚ and student affairs. Lexington Community College* students shall continue to be provided access to University of Kentucky residence halls.”

Athletics Fee

The Athletics fee gives full-time students the opportunity to receive tickets for most athletic sporting events. The student would be a part of the UK student allotment for these events. The students would get the tickets on the dates they are available for all students and the tickets are given on a first come‚ first serve basis. The fee is $16.50 per semester with each football and men’s basketball ticket costing an additional $5.00 each per game. All other sporting events are free with a valid student ID. If a student drops below 12 hours at any time during the semester they are no longer eligible to purchase student tickets. Recreation Fee

The recreation fee allows students to have access to UK Campus Recreation facilities and programs (except club sports). This includes the Johnson Student Recreation Center‚ UK Intramural Sports‚ and other campus recreation programs. Students must also present a current student ID. SAB Fee

Student Activities Board (SAB) is charged with providing major campus programming‚ including cultural‚ social‚ recreational and major entertainment programs for the campus. Led by students‚ it is responsible for meeting the diverse interests of the student population throughout the academic year by providing a full calendar of events. Students paying the SAB student activities fee receive a student discount to events produced and promoted by SAB e.g. concerts‚ lectures‚ performing arts‚ comedians‚ visual arts‚ etc. which are sold through the Student Center Ticket Offi ce and/or other designated venues. SGA Fee

A variety of all-campus services funded in part or wholly by Student Government Association (SGA) currently provide all students with access to the following: DVD rental program, legal information service, Wildcat Wheels campus bike check-out program and other ongoing initiatives. Student Center Fee

The Student Center offers numerous activities to students for free or at reduced prices. Some of the many activities offered at the Student Center include comedy shows in the Cat’s Den; concerts; various tournaments such as pool‚ ping-pong‚ and Texas Hold’em poker; bingo; domino competitions; karaoke; movies; use of the computers located throughout the Student Center; and many more activities! Student Health Fee

Students who pay the Student Health Fee are entitled to receive the covered services described in the Handbook which can be found on the University Health Service web site. University Health Service provides primary care‚ gynecology‚ mental health‚ and health promotion and prevention services. Covered benefi ts for 2008-2009 include: unlimited office visits with the medical staff for illness or injury‚ gynecology services‚ mental health services‚ selected laboratory services‚ access to the phone-information nurse‚ on-call physician service‚ tuberculin skin testing‚ well-patient physical examinations‚ allergy injections‚ and other services.

Student Involvement Fee

Student Involvement supports the student experience by engaging students‚ connecting communities‚ and creating opportunities. The Student Involvement fee supports programs such as the Center for Community Outreach; Center for Student Involvement; and University Leadership Development Programs. WRFL 88.1FM Fee

The student run non-commercial radio station serves the university and local community listenership by providing a broad range of music‚ issues‚ and news programming. The station also programs a variety of campus and community concerts‚ performing arts and special interest programming. Students paying the WRFL student activities fee receive a discount to events produced and promoted by WRFL which are sold through the Student Center Ticket Office and/or other designated venues.
