How is the Plus Account separate from a Dining Plan?

The Plus Account is an optional debit program accessed through the UK WildCard Student ID, UK Faculty/Staff ID or BCTC Student ID. The Plus Account is extremely flexible and widely used on campus and off campus for dining, laundry, bookstores, printing, copying, prescriptions, and much more.

All Plus Account monies may be refunded less a $5 processing fee or will automatically carry forward. Unused funds will be forfeited after five years of non-use.

A Dining Plan is mandatory for students living in the Residence Halls. Each Dining Plan has two components, Meals and Flex dollars. Choose from Weekly Meals or a Block Meal Plan.

Meals and Flex dollars may only be used on campus at UK Dining Services locations.

Unused Weekly Meals cannot be refunded, accumulated or carried over to the next week. Unused Block Meals cannot be refunded or carried over at the end of the semester.

Up to $100 unused Flex Dollars will transfer between the Fall and Spring semesters, provided there is an active Spring Dining Plan.
