For Merchants
The Plus Account is a debit card program developed as a convenience to the students‚ faculty and staff at the University of Kentucky and Bluegrass Community and Technical College (formally Lexington Community College – LCC). Anyone with a Plus Account is able to purchase goods and services at participating on and off campus locations. Funds are deposited into accounts at various locations on campus or on our web site (under Manage Your Account). Students‚ faculty‚ or staff‚ present their Plus Account to participating merchants and funds are deducted from their account.
The Plus Account began offering students‚ faculty and staff the opportunity to purchase goods and services at participating locations off campus during the fall 2005 semester. There are currently 20‚000 students‚ faculty and staff that use a Plus Account. Currently 100 on campus and 34 business at 41 locations are accepting the Plus Account.

Since August 2005‚ the UK Plus Account has had over $1‚557‚000 in off campus Plus Account sales.
