On December 9, 2003, at approximately 9:00 PM, a female victim was sexually abused near the entrance to Ovid's Café at the W.T. Young Library. The unknown suspect approached her from the front and grabbed her chest.
The suspect is male in his late 20's to early 30's, 6'0" to 6'2", medium build. He had light brown hair that was combed straight back and was described as having a dark complexion, possibly tanned. He was wearing a cream colored fleece pull-over with some type of print on it and faded blue jeans.
UK Police offer the following safety precautions:
Recently the University of Kentucky Police Department has been investigating an increased number of thefts from vehicles in the University's area parking lots.
During the holiday season it is not uncommon for thieves to victimize students, faculty, staff, as well as, university visitors.
Items taken from the vehicles are; tools, VCR's, car radios, etc…which can be carried away.
The University of Kentucky Police Department recommends the following precautions for leaving vehicles in University parking areas:
PARK YOUR VEHICLES IN WELL-LIT AND WELL TRAVELED AREAS BY BOTH PEDESTRIANS
AND VEHICLE TRAFFIC.
SECURE YOUR VEHICLE.
ACTIVATE YOUR CAR ALARM, IF YOU HAVE ONE.
REMOVE ALL ITEMS FROM YOUR VEHICLE OR PLACE THEM IN THE TRUNK.
HAVE A LIST OF SERIAL, MAKE, AND MODEL NUMBERS OF ALL ITEMS IN YOUR
VEHICLE.
AT THE END OF THE SEMESTER; PACK YOUR CAR AND LEAVE THE SAME DAY. DO
NOT LEAVE VEHICLE WITH YOUR ITEMS UNATTENDED OVERNIGHT.
IMMEDIATELY REPORT ANY THEFTS OR DAMAGES TO THE POLICE.

University of Kentucky Police have issued a "safety alert" for a suspect in a sexual abuse case reported on the UK campus Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003.
Police say a female UK student was sexually abused in a parking lot at the corner of Woodland Avenue and Columbia Avenue near the William T. Young Library. The unknown suspect approached her from behind while she was walking through the parking lot.
The suspect is male, white, 6'0", approximately 230 pounds, and 20 to 30 years of age. He had short, light brown or blonde hair. He was wearing a red shirt and denim pants. The victim described the subject as being muscular.
"Safety Alert" flyers with the description of the suspect have been distributed in the residence halls on UK's campus. The flyers also provide safety precaution information and a notice that UK Police have increased patrols in the campus area.
Anyone with information is asked to call UK Police at 257-1616.

On June 18, 2003, at 0300 hrs. a female victim was raped near the parking lot behind the Kirwan Complex. The unknown suspect approached her from behind while she was attempting to get into her car. He dragged her into some trees and forcibly raped her.
The suspect is male, of foreign descent, possibly Hispanic, 5'10" to 5'11", approximately 180 lbs. He had short, dark brown hair that was longer on top. He was wearing a long sleeve black shirt, a link type necklace, possibly gold, and long black pants. The suspect smelled strongly of cologne, and spoke in a foreign language that the victim did not understand. The suspect could possibly have some puncture like injuries to his face.
