Lost and Found Property

The property officer is available from 0800 to 1400 hours, Monday through Friday for the purpose of receiving new evidence or signing out stored evidence/property.

1. All found property shall be maintained for period of three (3) months. If no lawful claimant is located within that time, the property may be properly disposed of according to law.
2. Property being held for evidentiary purposes shall be returned to the lawful claimant as quickly as possible. Photographs will be utilized to return evidence to lawful claimants when it does not hinder the presentation of evidence in court. Evidence may also be released by a court order.
3. To claim property you must be able to show proof-of-purchase, sales receipt, have the correct serial number, or know other positive property identifiers.
