The tournament will be limited to six divisions of debate and is open to any high school in the country. "No independent entries will be accepted."
TOC Qualifier: The tournament is a TOC qualifier in two-person policy at the quarter-finals level, Lincoln-Douglas at the semi-finals level, and Public Forum at the semi-finals level.
Debate Divisions: The tournament will include five divisions in debate:
- Varsity Policy Debate
- Junior Varsity Policy Debate
- Novice Policy Debate
- Lincoln-Douglas Novice Debate
- Lincoln-Douglas Varsity Debate
- Public Forum
Judges: If you provide the judge, one person can cover two teams in Policy, one person can cover two teams in Public Forum, or one person can cover three Lincoln-Douglas debaters.
Hired Judges: A limited number of judges are available for hire.
Hired policy debate judges are $90 per team; $50 for each individual LD debater and Public Forum team. Please Note: A hired policy judge cannot cover two teams since we have to be concerned about the cost of housing, transportation, etc. for hired judges.
Please notify us of your request for hired judges as early as possible. THERE WILL NOT BE ANY JUDGES FOR HIRE THE DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT.
Schedule: Debating will begin at 8:30 on Saturday morning. The final schedule will be distributed at registration. We will adhere to the following:
